Learning to Rest

I’ve never been one for naps or even sleeping much. At the beginning of  this sabbatical journey, I had a tough time getting 7-8 hours of sleep and taking a nap. I’ve started to enjoy my naps even if I don’t fall asleep it’s nice to take some time to intentionally rest every day. I think having the time to work out almost daily has helped me in getting more sleep than usual!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of helping move the grandmother of one of my best friends. We spent almost 7 hours moving her into a new, nicer, and smaller house. Today I am very sore but the gratitude she showed and to see how much it meant to her was definitely worth it. Her husband died last year and their house of 40 years was just too much for her to handle on her own. We tried to make the transition as easy and smooth as possible.

On the agenda for this week is 2 or 3 more days of meals on wheels and do some solid workouts! I think this week I will have to make anether trip to DFW to retrieve by truck that is in the body shop. I have to finish up my Robert Morris book as well. There’s not much time left! I’m looking forward to being home for this last week and a half.
